Location: Tower Road, Hart House, University of Toronto, Canada

Artist: Evan Grant Penny, limestone, 1990

Hart House is a student center at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus. This sculpture is a part of the Hart House Permanent Collection. Its officially name is Mask #1 but is more popularly called, The Hart House Mask. It is located at the King’s College Circle. It was purchased by the Art Committee in 1990. This sculpture is interesting whereas you get the profile and front view of a man’s face when seen at different angles.

Note: Evan Grant Penny is not to be confused with realist sculptor Evan Penny (?)*
